Infection control issues are very important in surgical wards. Therefore, this study was planned to evaluate the efficacy of an instrument to assess compliance with infection control guidelines in surgical wards. To evaluate the efficacy of an instrument to assess compliance with infection control guidelines in surgical wards. A proforma to assess compliance with infection control guidelines was developed. This was validated by four general practitioners and eight nurses.
This was done on 30 patients in the surgical ward of a private hospital.
